The concept for this design/build gut renovation was to preserve as much of the existing historic detailing while providing a fresh contemporary palette. The juxtaposition of old and new supports the efficiency of modern living while providing the charm of detail and craftsmanship.

The renovation included gutting and modernizing two upstairs apartments as well as new amenities for the parlor and garden floor duplex. Walls were removed to create an open kitchen / dining room with new steps and deck to the back yard, a new bathroom and two new bedrooms with exposed brick on the garden level.
